Just a quick
note to say, thank you so much for shipping my cookie order so quickly.
As a lifelong Ohioan and cookie addict, I only recently heard about
Berger Cookies, and had to investigate for myself. (It's a tough
job, but somebody has to do it....)
All I can say
is, the cookie surpassed my imagination of what it would taste like.
"Chocolate ganache heaven" might come close, as long as
the phrase is accompanied by angels' voices singing "aaaahhhhh"
in the background. My mother is getting one of the packages I ordered
for Mother's Day this weekend -- I'll be her favorite child for
sure that day.
Now, I could
write more, but I feel a chocolate sugar high calling me, and I
must attend it to fully. With a glass of milk.
Best regards,
Karen
All I can say
it OMG.I got 2 packages and now everyone in my family has their
name on each one!.They are sinful but sooo good
please keep me on your email list.I will order for friends and family
stay well

I met a woman
while our children we inpatient at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
We keep in touch and one day on the phone she asked if I had Berger
cookies. I'm like, what are you talking about, a burger in a cookie?
She's like no, its a local thing in Baltimore where she lives and
in a few days I received a care package from her with the famous
cookies. After, I had to order some because they were so good, and
a definite crutch for me with all the medical issues my dither has.
Thank you.
These cookies and my friend keep me sane!
I am under the
assumption that the order I placed on February 17th was ALREADY
re-shipped. My friend received the cookies 12 days later on the
29th. That's a long time to wait for an order to be received. Not
to mention that I was directed to the UPS tracking page as the order
having been "delivered" to someone on February 22nd.
When I was told per UPS tracking that a package was delivered on
the 22nd & my friend did not have the cookies, that is when
I asked for Berger Cookie Company to remedy the situation ASAP.
The "dropped ball" appears to be in UPS' court?
Thank you for upholding your reputation as a trusted company.
Hello Charles,
I wanted to personall let you know how much Berger Cookies Rock
my vacation world especially...
When I first hit the airport to check in...my girls at USA3000 all
know me because I give them a "Box of Bergers"....then
as I board the plane...The Captian and Crew get theirs...this gets
me hugs and free drinks most times! Gotta love what the Bergers
do...hehehe!
Upon Arrival to either the Dominican Repbulic or Mexico the two

BEST!!! Your cookies are internationally known and have made my

I find that "The Box of Bergers" and the Duos are a great
way to fulfill my motto...which is "It's all about Spreading
the LOVE"...
Thanks for all you do in making them...and the smiles you bring
to so many faces...
In any case I just wanted to share with you the joy you and your
cookies have brought to me and to many...

Dear"Hon's":
As a native
Georgian, I had the unfortunate circumstance to grow up ignorant
of Berger cookies.
Nearly twenty
years later, I visited the lovely city of Baltimore for the first
time. My host introduced me to many wonderful places and things
in and around Baltimore...Fell's Point, Federal Hill, The Block,
and so many others. But none of those marvels compared to your scrumptious
cookies! Whenever visiting Baltimore after that, I never came home
without Berger Cookies, and would share them with my less fortunate
friends here in Atlanta.
Recently, in
my position as Event Manager for a museum here in Atlanta, I was
touring a family considering
hosting their son's rehearsal dinner prior to the wedding. When
I learned they were from Baltimore, the very first
thing out of my mouth was NOT John Waters, Divine, or Inner Harbor.
No sir, it was: I LOVE BERGER COOKIES!
Well, they were
just tickled at my passion. Weeks later, I received a signed contract
for the dinner. But most
importantly, I also received a two pack of BERGER COOKIES!
In my best southern
drawl may I state: Thanks y'all for makin' such FINE cookies!

I'm 54 years
old and originally from Baltimore where my grandmother raised me
on Berger Cookies. I have lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland
since 1977 when I lost track of Bergers until about 4 years ago
when my daughter (not from Baltimore) discovered Bergers from the
local Highs store in Easton, Md where she lives. I was shocked when
I saw them on her kitchen counter and proceeded to sample her Bergers.
I finished the remainder of the box. It reinvigorated my taste for
Bergers and I have since found them at Giant Food in Salisbury,
Md. I am now a regular 2 box/week customer and yes I eat them all
by myself and no, I am not obese. All the cashiers always ask me
about them and I tell them the Berger story as I remember it. Anyway,
I'm am a happy camper since Giant brings them in. Should they ever
stop, I'll just have to drop them as my food store. Thanks and don't
ever stop making them.

Hello!
My husband &
I just tasted our first Berger Cookie, courtesy of one of my co-workers
in Towson.
YUMMY!
I can only describe
it as the "perfect Black & White" (which I grew up
eating all through high school in NJ - from the corner bakery within
walking distance from my school campus) without the White... oh
please don't ever go out of business LOL
I'm getting
together a nice, big gift order soon... must recover from the sheer
tastyness of this wonderful little snack. :)
Sincerely,
Anne aka Hello Kitty

| I
received a present of Bergers Cookies from someone I work with. I
am from southern CA and have never heard of (much less eaten) your
delicious cookies. But WOW what a treat. Just wanted you to know.
A new fan.

Hi,
My sister, who lives in Columbia, MD, sent us a tin of your delicious
cookies for Christmas! They are fabulous.
Thanks you,

I'm
a Californian and had never tasted a Berger cookie until this December
2007. What a wonderful cookie! They were
sent to me by my darling sister in law from Upperco, MD. I loved the
cookies so much that
I searched for your website and now plan to order your cookies whenever
the urge strikes. I'm so grateful
to Mary for thinking of me.

My
husband and I are both born and raised in the Baltimore area, but
have been living in the Upstate of South Carolina for about 12 years.
We were addicted to your cookies from the moment we ate them many
years ago. Wish we could find them here!! But, since we can't, we
are able to fly home several times a year to visit all our family
members who still live in Baltimore and pick up a box or two. I was
just visiting last week, and as soon as I got off the plane, the first
thing I want is a Maryland crabcake and your fabulous Berger cookies.
I bought two boxes before I left for the airport. I would tell family
members that they couldn't come visit us without bringing us some
Berger cookies. (And they do!)
Don't ever stop making them.
Thanks,
Mary & Harry

Gentleman/Ladies
Earlier this year I was at my brothers home in Ocean City, my sister,
her husband and some of my brother and his wifes' friend came over.
My sister brought a package of your cookies with her. I just about
died. I hadn't seen or eaten your cookies since I was kid living in
Parkville, Md. We use to get them on special occasions, and boy were
they good then. I now live in Chapel Hill, NC and recently went back
to Baltimore for a nephews wedding, and knew I was coming home with
a couple of boxes of your fabulous cookies.
They are still as good as I remember them being when I was kid. As
well as finding you have a web site. Now I don't have to drive to
Baltimore to get them. The black and whites I've had are no match
for your cookie. Thanks for keeping them around and for the memories
that came with them.

My
Mom was born in Baltimore in 1917. She remembered what a treat it
was when her grandmother visited and brought them Berger cookies (presumably
from Lexington Market). I'm glad you're still in business, because
our family is still enjoying your cookies--for at least 5 generations!!

I
had to write and tell you the story of my grandfather and how he ate
Berger's cookies. Now, he had quite a sweet tooth--he was once seen
hiding behind the couch as a child and drinking sweetened condensed
milk right from the can--so he loved your cookies. But he had a twist
with Berger's. He would cut a cookie in half, slather some butter
in between and put the two halves back together to make a sandwich!
Amazingly, he was very fit and lived to be in his eighties. It's still
a story that makes everyone in my family smile.

I
grew up in Maryland and then settled in NC after I got married. My
husband Danny quickly fell prey to the "Berger Cookie Addiction".
When we would travel to see my parents we always came home with a
car load of your fabulous cookies. My husband has been deployed to
Iraq for a almost a year (since February 04). Although I sent him
carepackages almost daily, for obvious reasons I could never send
him any Berger Cookies. On Wednesday,
January 5, 2005 he phoned home to let me know he was leaving for home
soon!! Once he gave me his anticipated arrival date, he also asked
for one small favor... you got it... BERGER COOKIES!
Thank you for
making his day!

I've
been eating these wonderful morsels for 40 years at least and I've
never grown tired of them. They are simply incredible edible. My brothers
who I send them to every year enjoy them as much

I
am so glad that you have a website. I am originally from Baltimore,
but I have lived in North Carolina for 5 years now. Every month my
mother sends me a pack of Berger Cookies. Now that I have noticed
on your label that you have a website, I can order my own and some
for gifts! I am so excited. I have loved Bergers since I was a kid,
I am now 26. Keep up the good work.
Thank you,

| Thank
you so very much! I greatly appreciate such a generous offer!!!! It
will really make Lt. Maize's day!
It is so nice
to actually find people who are willing to do something extra for
a customer! Your product is of course, wonderful, but that doesn't
mean much without a great company behind it. I will certainly remember
your companies customer service and attention - be assured you will
get more orders from me in the future!
Thanks again.

| Dear
Mr.. De Baufre,
I just received
my 1st prize cookie shipment from your contest. Thank
you! I had grown up in Baltimore in the 50s and 60s, and one of
the great
Saturday rituals was for my father to take me to Lexington Market.
Of
course, this meant a stop at Berger's, where we'd stock up on cakes,
buns,
and a huge variety of cookies. My favorites were the standby chocolate-iced,
like you sent to me, and the jelly-filled and almond ones. I've
lived in
Indianapolis since 1967. Every return trip I make to Baltimore includes
once
again stocking up on Berger's goodies. And when friends come here
to visit,
they always bring a large supply of cookies. Christmas packages
from
Baltimore always contain the same. So, thanks again. I really appreciate
it!
Sincerely,
Geoffrey

| My husband is from the Baltimore/Annapolis
area, and he introduced our family to Berger Cookies. We are now living
in Orlando, Florida, home of the Great Mouse...but not the best cookie!!
Anytime anyone comes to visit us from up north, we ask them to bring
a couple packages of cookies with the thought of freezing them and
having them later. (Sorry...they never make the freezer...they are
gone within a day or two of the visit!) Just thought you should know
you have a good thing going!
Thanks

| I just received the package of cookies
you sent because my order got lost. How nice of you to do that! Not
many companies today take care of their customers like this. I will
make sure I use you at Christmas time for gifts for my friends.
Again thank you for your great customer
service.

| Hi!
I was chosen as your third prize winner
in the contest for Sept., and I would just like to thank you from
the bottom of my heart. I only got 4 cookies in my mug, and they
were gone in a flash. I was only going to take a small taste, then
save them until I could get my mug filled, but there was no chance
after that first taste. You are definitely on my Christmas wish
list. Which brings me to something else. I think you should include
your url in the prize pack. I had a hard time finding your site
again.
Thank you so very much,
Judy Hampton

I just wanted to drop you a line and
tell you I have tried your cookies. They are the greatest tasting cookies
I have ever had.I also had the cake. I have never tasted anything
to compare to them. I have an IGA store close to me that sells your
brand. I buy them all the time.I have even bought them as gifts for
other people. Every one who tries them say the same thing. keep up
the good work.

| To Whom it May Concern,
I just wanted to drop you a line to
let you know how excellent your cookies are. I describe them as
being created by someone who always ate "black and white"
cookies. As I did, this person often felt shafted in getting too
much vanilla.....lol. He or she thought, " wouldn't it be a
great cookie if we reduced the size of it and 86ed the vanilla completely...and
while you're there, just put way too much chocolate icing to make
up for my lost years drowning in vanilla."
Needless to say, they are cookies after
my own heart....speaking of which, I am in love with the man who
introduced them to me and most likely moving to Maryland to be closer
to your cookies, um, i mean....the man, of course. :-) A sincere
fan from NY,
Julie

In our family your cookies used to be
for special occasions or company only. That was because they taste
so wonderful, they couldn't be server or a normal run of the mill
day. Then one day at the store I picked up a pack of your cookies,
hoping to surprise my family. Well, it was a wonderfully summer day
and along with the regular eats everyone serves at a Baltimore cookout
we also had delicious hot steamed crabs. I almost forgot about the
cookies until I went into the kitchen and saw the bag from the store.
I hesitated serving them after eating crabs, not to mention everything
else. I thought "why not"! I arranged neatly on a serving
dish and covered the dish with a pretty linen towel. Everyones eyes
lit up trying to guess what could be under the towel. I had earlier
in the day hinted about a special surprise but by the time I served
it had almost forgotten my teasing. I made up a few clues, exaggerating
of course, trying to get them to guess what I had. Well, by the time
I pulled the towel off the chocolate had started to melt and they
looked like a delicious chocolate pie. I sliced it served it and now
call it our "nothing special but because we deserve it delicious,
most favorite dessert", quite a mouthful, but I had help from
all the kids. This is just to let you know how we love Bergers cookies
and they are almost a part of our family.
Thanks for reading. |

I just wanted to let you know how much
I LOVE your cookies......and I also wanted to let you know that I
have a girlfriend that lives in Long Island New York.....when she
came down to visit I introduced her to your cookies......she absolutely
fell head over heels!!!!......now practically every time I visit her
I must bring a box or two......thanks again and please NEVER go out
of business....:-)

| The Berger tradition continues in my
family. From my mother bringing them home from Lexington Market, to
our taking them to our boys thru the college years. The cookies made
a big hit with the college crowd in Vermont and South Carolina.
Even now when I go to Charleston to
visit I take 10 boxes to honor request. If you ever want other another
market, Charleston would be a hit.
Thanks for the many years, and being
a part of our family's Berger tradition.

| Dear Mr. DeBaufre,
I just received my tin of cookies-
2nd prize in your website giveaway- and wanted to thank you. I'm
from Baltimore and can not wait to sink my teeth into a cookie (I
celebrate Passover, so they'll have to hopefully keep for a week!).
I'm sure that all of your winners and customers will become Berger
cookies fans for life. They're just that good.
Again, thanks so much!
Sincerely,

| Hello,
Thanks for sending us those incredible
cookies. Being a choco-holic I just couldn't get enough of them.
We received the tin of cookies by entering a contest that you had
around Valentines Day (I think). I all started when we got an advertisement
through our email. I think that is a great way to get the word out
about you product.
Anyways, our family enjoyed your cookies
and will definitely be ordering more from you in the near future.
Thanks again!

| Hello,
Yesterday, Thursday, March 12th, I
was pleasantly surprised to receive the Second Place Monthly Winner
package from you. I waited until my husband came home from work
to open the package and then upon opening the aroma was heavenly
and naturally we had to test one right then. DELICIOUS and all that
wonderful chocolate.
To my husband they reminded him of
cookies his mother use to make when he was a child (he is now 52
and his mother has long since passed on). He is Polish/German/Austrian
and grew up in Chicago, IL (his parents took off the last two letters
of the original last name Maziarka and shortened it to Maziar in
the 1940's). To him the cookies brought back fond past memories.
I do not have any of the recipes she had, only one for Kolachke
that I do make at Christmas.
Thank you again for selecting me as
a winner. You have truly made "our day". Continued good
luck with your site, business and cookies. I have your site "book
marked" and definitely will keep it for future reference.
Yours truly,
Rosemarie

| I grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland and
am 45 years old, yet I've never heard of your cookies! And I thought
I was the expert on all Maryland products! Except for 3 years in the
Gaithersburg area, 1992-1995, I have lived outside of my beloved state.
I now reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia and was recently introduced
to your delicious, wonderful cookies by a co-worker, a Baltimore native.
She brings us cookies on her trips home, but bottom line -- can we
find your cookies down here anywhere? Or can I find them in the DC
area? Can we order packages of your cookies (not in the tins?) Thank
you so much and look forward to hearing from you!
